Casino de Torrevieja
The Casino de Torrevieja is one of the most representative buildings of the city and encompasses the headquarters of the Casino de Torrevieja Cultural Society, founded on the 1st of February 1867. The aesthetic of the building is in-keeping with the common style of the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th century, applying various techniques and materials.
Visiting the building, the first thing which is noticeable is its modernist style door showing three columns on which three sections can be distinguished. In the interior we first find the modernist style ballroom, covered by a coffered ceiling with polychrome plaster panels, decorative motifs of plants and typically modernist busts of dragons.
